Outlaws Martial Arts Closure – Support & Mat Space for the Sisters Jiu‑Jitsu Community

We were sorry to hear—through several former members—about the recent shutdown of Outlaws Martial Arts in Sisters, Oregon. Any time a BJJ academy closes, the whole regional community feels it: training partners scatter, routines break, and the “third place” that kept stress at bay suddenly disappears.

Why Gym Closures Happen

Running an academy is a juggling act: rising rents, insurance, and staffing costs balanced against the need to keep classes safe, inclusive, and growth‑oriented. In a smaller town like Sisters, those pressures multiply. The result—unfortunately—is sometimes a closure that leaves students searching for a new mat to call home.

Your Next Step: Train at SBG Bend

If Outlaws was your BJJ home and you want to keep progressing, SBG Bend is ready to welcome you. Come meet the coaching staff, tour the facility, and join class through our standard intro process.
